Born from legacy and shaped by a modern life, the farm exists as a place where land, animals, food, and people are tended with purpose. Every choice, from what is grown, how it is raised, how it is shared—is guided by discipline, presence, and respect for what sustains us.
Our Story
The foundation of Crystal Bell Farms is deeply personal.
The name honors my grandmother, Christabel Watson—a woman born in Alabama who found her home in Cincinnati, Ohio. She lived a life defined by intention, patience, service, and self-sufficiency. Christabel taught me… mostly without words, how to move through the world slowly and deliberately, how to care deeply, and how to build a life that honored both faith and nature.
She grew her own food. collard greens, potatoes, vegetables tended with quiet consistency. She baked and canned. She preserved what she had, wasted nothing, and understood the value of preparation long before it became a trend or a movement.
But, I know, without question—that if she could see the vision behind the farm today, she would understand it immediately. While she was cautious of “worldly things,” this work, this return to land, intention, care, discipline, and stewardship—would be something she stood firmly behind.
Crystal Bell Farms exists because of her.
It carries her name, her values, her pace, and her way of loving: quietly, deeply, and with purpose.
This farm is not just about food or animals or land.
it is about remembering where we come from. It is about building something rooted, honest, and lasting.
Crystal Bell Farms is my way of honoring Christabel Watson— and continuing what she started.
Here, stewardship and refinement are not opposites.

The farm currently offers thoughtfully raised provisions—beginning with fresh, free range eggs—shared through a small, intentional subscription model. Over time, Crystal Bell Farms will also host curated gatherings and private experiences designed for seeking presence, conversation, and connection in a grounded setting.
